All Together Now ...

Photographers work in different ways ...some are very much loan wolves looking for the shot no one else will have, or else wanting total control of all aspects of the shoot. Whereas others like to have company and help sharing both resources and ideas.

I personally find working both ways has it's rewards whether it be commercial or personal work.

A good example of working with another photographer within a commercial setting are weddings, where I nearly always have another photographer to help with my shots where extra lighting etc is needed, but more often than not to capture the things where I cannot possibly be in two places at once.

Another very different way of working together is with a group of other photographers combining a social event with the shared love of photography, which is the way the images shown here were created. The location and context allowed me to fit nicely into one on own projects detailing the effects of urban & industrial decline and in this instance no less than 10 photographers had a great day out, exchanging ideas and possibly slightly trying to out do each other ...great fun and highly creative ... especially sharing the result with each other to see how a different angle gave a very different look to the same scene.

If you haven't taken your camera out with friends I really recommend you do so.
