The packaging is simple brilliance .....
Christmas came early for me this year when I got my hands on some Impossible Project first batch "PX Push" instant film. I really cannot fully explain just how much fun I had creating the image I used to illustrate my last Blog article about RAW digital images, you simply have to try this for yourself !
I also thought there was some amusement using the very rawest of analogue shots to illustrate an article on exact digital photography :-)
Even the darkslide of this film sparks creativity ...
Keeping in mind that I have only taken one single image and from this have seen significant changes in it's colours as the images the image starts it's life totally blue and transforms quickly from this to a reddish cast before settling down to a slightly more brownish hue and what is more I will be able to watch this image change over several weeks to come. The possibilities are endless ... this one test shot gave me three different colours over a 15 minute period which you can see illuistrated here.
This film left without being peeled is still slowly developing and I cannot wait to see the next transition to it.
There is simply tooooooo much to say about this film for me to cover her so please check out the link below to see what you can do with it.
Comments on use you will get best result with a SX-70 Polaroid Camera (possibly the coolest camera of all time ) and also it recommended to push the exposure by getting lots of light into the the capture turning the dial up into the white . My capture was in low light with a dark background, so possibly not the best situation for this film but I love the results and cannot wait to take some more shots with it. I have also just read that it recommend not the expose the film to light even when it has been ejected from the camera ...but the great thing with this type of photography there are no real rules and so you can through it on the ground and jump on it if you want you will still get a great and unique image I am sure :-)
